How many Clubman Estates are in the US?  I'm just curious as I would guess less than 30.  Anyone else care to guess?  Or is there a way to find out for sure?

I like two tone saloons and think a wagon looks good with certain two tones as long as it is a Tinnie. The woody just does not look right to me with a two tone scheme, the different shades of the wood are enough imo. I did see a Woody with the side and rear panels with wood look peel and stick on them (like US wagons were) and that looked good to me.

been a while but will start back in soon on the wagon, just no time in the summer. I saw this pic of a car on Facebook, and thought that would look nice on a wagon. What do you guys think?????

My 1963 Austin countryman (tinnie) with the one piece fibreglass rear door-All the rage in the seventies- I do have a pair of original steel barn doors that l am considering having redone and installed-

Of course this machine has the much vaunted "clubman" front flip bonnet, also in fibreglass-

Mine are pretty old (but, I think, original) and as far as I can see its just the mechanical grip between the glass and the rubber lining inside the metal strip....  I can pull my metal strips off the glass if I carefully lever it away at one end first.  However, there's no way you can push the glass out of the retaining strip with the window shut .

Maybe some small dobs of contact adhesive between the metal and its rubber lining and between the rubber and the glass????

How is the rear side window trim/pull on front of the sliding windows supposed to be attached?  Mine is loose.  I tried just smooshing it a little to fit tighter.  and then I tried putting some bike inner tube rubber as a gasket.  IT still pulls off pretty easily.

Trying to track down an older Woody that belonged to my father.  Austin, don't know what year, but MKI.  Was sold from Atlanta to someone in North Carolina in 1987.  Had Cooper S engine, front brakes.  Volkswagen Almond green with a white roof.  He can't remember who he sold it to.  We saw it a few years later with a Union Jack roof and a luggage rack.  Ringing any bells for anyone?  I would love to know what it looks like now...

Ron, Yes, they did indeed make woody wagons in Automatic form.  The one I owned and sold to my brother was an original automatic.  If you do decide to make yours an automatic remember the front subframe is different from a standard transmission one.  You can use an automatic subby with spacers to install a standard tranny,  but you can't install an automatic tranny into a standard subby.  As to your Heritage Certificate, the part where is lists "Hood" refers to the top of a convertible.  Keep in mind that their language and ours (including definitions) is different.  US hood = UK bonnet.  US convertible top = UK hood.

Hey Al - my Countryman was assembled in September, 1969 which makes it one of the last round nose Countrymans and maybe the newest one in the US. 

The "traveller" vs. "traveler" thing is just a British "English" vs. American "English" spelling matter.  Relates to a very great many common and not so common words.  And sometimes works the other way around too, then there is "s" vs. "z", forgetting entirely that "z" is zed not zee for the rest of the world and so on and on.

Here in Canada one must add words to a US generated software "spell check" dictionary because it only recognizes US spellings (if it recognizes a word at all) as correct.  [Note the double "l" in both words in both forms of English.]
