The Weber 32/36 downdraft carb makes an excellent upgrade! This progressive two-barrel carburettor gives you the best of both worlds-power and economy. While cruising, only the 32mm barrel is operating, when you open the throttle the 36mm secondary kicks in! It comes jetted for a mild 1275 but, as with any Weber, a wide selection of jets is available.

The two barrels are different sizes for maximum economy when you don't have your foot into it and max performance when you want it! The down-draft feature allows for a good manifold to be fitted to the Mini with a proper air filter. Available as P4-004 for use with a standard manifold or P4-004/LCB
for use with the Long Center Branch exhaust.
Either kit comes complete with manifold, Weber carb, linkage and air filter.

I have a 88 Mini Mayfair with 998 And Stage 1 Kit, otherwise bone stock with only 20k original. Live in Hawaii tired of the su and humid weather. I see the weber is jetted for mild 1275, Im guessing I would need to rejet for 998. Can you provide jets and a suggested starting point.

Kevin, The DGV carb in this kit is a progressive linkage type and as it is getting for a very conservative 1275 our experience tells us that on a slightly tuned 998 will run fine with no jetting change. In saying that it is a absolute true statement that ANY weber will only operate at it's optimum without being tuned on a dyno. Even as jetting this carb on a 1275 would benefit from being tuned on a Dyno. Most any of the 998 owners we have sold this to have never ask for or given us any feedback as to their jetting changes IF ANY!
