BMW/MINI modified their Strut Mount on the Gen1 Models R50 R52 R53 After March 2002 to 20086. This strut fits all those models made after the change.

The rubber bushing will crack over time and can lead to support failure. This is also an area that can get damaged from hitting a large pothole. You can identify this by seeing if the topside strut mounting area has deformed or 'mushroomed'. Sold each
