Stock Cylinder Head that has been refurbished - a cost effective way to replace your 'tired' cylinder head. If you have a high mileage head with worn valve guides, bad seats, or burnt valves, this replacement is the solution. These are complete Cooper S heads with valves, rocker assembly, and camshaft, but can be used on both Cooper and Cooper S models.

Fits the following models:

2002-2006 R50 Cooper
2005-2008 R52 Cooper and Cooper S Convertible
2002-2006 R53 Cooper and Cooper S Hatchback

These are NOT just 'cleaned up' used heads. They are thoroughly inspected and tested and everything is brought back to spec with a full valve job. This includes:

Thorough cleaning to start
Pressure tested (at high pressure) for leaks or cracks
All new valve seals
Re-cut valves and seats
New guides where needed (most are usually replaced)
Re-surfaced to spec

There is a refundable CORE CHARGE which will be refunded when we receive your 'complete' and 'rebuildable' core. Heads with cracks, severe warpage, piston to head contact or any physical defects will NOT qualify for a refund. Core must be complete and fully assembled with rockers and valve assembly intact (as shown in the photos - with the camshaft).

1 Year Limited Warranty from the Manufacturer

All remanufactured cylinder heads are warranted against defects and are not unconditionally guaranteed against all hazards. All remanufactured cylinder heads are warranted for a period of 12 months - Unlimited Mileage.

Warranty is void regardless of time or mileage under any of the following conditions:

Improper installation or application
Faulty cooling system - radiator, water pump, thermostat, etc...
Engine overheating
Heat Tab melted or removed.

This warranty is limited to replacement of defective cylinder head only. No labor allowance is given or intended. The obligations assumed under this warranty are limited to replacement of defective cylinder head only, as herein provided, and are in lieu of all other obligations, warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied.

The cylinder head in question must be returned to the manufacturer for inspection and failure / defect analysis. It is understood that the return of the defective cylinder head is essential and that no warranty consideration will be given without doing so.

The cylinder head must be returned uncleaned and without removal of any valves, springs, and/or other related parts. Replacement or Credit, if due, will be issued only after such conditions have been met.
