A good suspension upgrade kit for the Classic Mini, that includes both a set of FAM3968 rubber cone springs, and the C-STR644 Hi-Lo adjustable strut kit.

At least 90% of all Classic Minis and Mini Coopers were produced with ‘rubber cone’ suspension. While these ‘rubbers’ work well in place of the more modern coil springs, they do have a tendency to age poorly. Not only do they get hard but they will also collapse. The result is not only a Mini that is not comfortable to drive but also one that handles poorly. One of the more practical solutions is the replacement of the rubber with new cones and the installation of a set of adjustable trumpets in the front and rear. The original stock trumpets are not adjustable and thus these will allow you to get the best of both worlds; a Classic Mini that handles great because it is not to high off the ground and comfortable to drive.
