Question:
So this current update engine breather cap would this be for a 1963 Morris with the original engine? I’ve just acquired a 1963 and the breather cap looks like the black one with the securing ring you have available but it doesn’t secure at all when screwed into the valve cover. Sort of just bounces in place over the filler hole.
Trying to decide if the one I have is broken or if I need this updated orange one.
Answer:
Both of the orange and blackcaps fit the same valve cover but the orange may fit better. There was a period in time when the black caps did not have the correct seal.
