Turbo Replacement
Brand new Turbocharger from Continental OEM original manufacture. Guaranteed exact fit replacement for the original turbocharger that came in your MINI. For best results and before installing your new turbo, JMTC recommends the following. Have your OEM catalytic converter refurbished or get a high flow downpipe upgrade. This will insure that the exhaust flows as well or better than it did when it was new. Install a new oil line. This is the only way JM Turbo can guarantee that pre-existing problem/s or the problem that caused the initial turbo failure do not cause the same issue again. Do it right or you may have to do it twice.
NOTES:
- If you are replacing a failed turbo, correct any and all issues that contributed to the failure of the turbo.
- Prime the Turbo when installing
- Perform an oil change just before servicing the turbo, and again shortly after.
- Do not re-use an old Oil Supply Line - install a NEW line!
- Refurbish the catalytic converter to eliminate any unusual back pressure built up from years and miles of contamination. This is especially important if you've had a catastrophic turbo failure that dumped oil into the exhaust. Unusual backpressure will severely shorten the life of any new turbo.
- We recommend oil changes at around 5k miles interval to keep the oil fresh.
- Let the engine idle for a couple minutes after a long or hard drive to cool the turbo and prevent the oil from coking in the bearings.
- ECU Tuning is not required but will allow the turbo and engine to reach their full potential.
Select from:
- Standard replacement or upgraded Super Turbo
- New or refurbished
- Pre or post facelift
Turbo Compatibility
Turbo compatibility is based on engine types. The engine type changed with the 2019 model year where all models were 'refreshed' or received a 'facelift'.
