All exhaust systems are 2 1/4" stainless steel system with twin 4" chrome tips.

The Borla system installs 'downstream' from the secondary catalytic converter. This requires cutting of the stock system just behind the cat, where the Borla system is attached. The rest bolts right-in.

The Quicksilver system installs at the flange, eliminating the need for any 'cutting'. However it removes the secondary resonator.

Quicksilver Exhausts

QuickSilver's High Performance Lightweight Exhaust system offers more horsepower, a crisp sporting sound, unique twin 3" chrome upswept tip design that fills out the rear bumper, and an all straight-through design for optimum efficiency.

The tone at idle is nice and deep, similar to a Borla system. The QuickSilver system has slightly more volume throughout the rpm range when compared to the Borla. Definitely not loud or annoying, but a nice sporting sound.

QuickSilver's newly developed 'Sports' exhaust system for the R56 Cooper S Hatchback is designed to let the 4 cylinder turbo engine breathe more freely and sound great. Customers have reported up to 35bhp performance increase!

Drastic weight reduction - from 40 lbs. to 18.6 lbs! Twin 3" carbon fiber tips gives your Mini an individual and assertive look. Simple Bolt-On design with no cutting required. This system eliminates the secondary resonator from the stock system.

NOTES:

[ ] This exhaust system is designed to bolt-in at the downpipe flange which removes the secondary catalytic converter. If you wish to keep the secondary catalytic converter, you can have a muffler shop cut and clamp or weld downstream from the cat.
