The new MINIs all lack a 'real' water temperature gauge. The biggest challenge for installing an aftermarket water temperature gauge is finding a convenient and effective location for the temperature sensor. This 'Hot Link' adapter allows a non-invasive installation of a port for the water temperature sensor, greatly simplifying the installation of a water temperature gauge.

This adapter has a port for the temperature sensor, as well as another outlet port used on MINIs with automatic transmissions. A brass plug is included to plug the second outlet for manual transmission MINIs.

Function

The Hot Link replaces an existing coupling on your coolant line, and offers the benefit of a 1/8 tapped attachement point for adding your temperature probe. This piece will allow you to monitor the health of your vehicle. Use with the FlexPod gauge bracket system to allow a completely reversible installation.

Installation

All you need to do is remove the stock coupling by pulling the two hoses off either side, then put the Hot Link in place and clamp down the supplied worm clamps. A setscrew is also included to allow adjustments without leaks.
