The Morris Minor front brakes are the drum type and thus require periodic adjustment. The adjuster itself ratchets into place and works well, the mask protects the ratched from contamination. But 'ratcheting' also results in wear. If your brakes need too frequent adjustment- it could mean the adjusters are slipping due to wear, a good mechanic will replace the masks as well. The 8" front drums were used on Morris Minors from 1962-1971.
