The only really safe way to jack up an early Mini is by the use of one of these original screw jacks. The nose of the jack slips into the reinforced hole in side sill of the car allowing you to both front and rear at the same time. The nut that turns the screw jack is the same size as the stock lug nuts. These new/old stock OR extremely good used units are getting harder to come by!
