Classic Mini Subframe Solid Mount Kit 1976 And Later
Front Subframe Poly Mounting kit for all 1976 on Mini's. Eliminate the vagueness in your steering, and stop that subframe shifting by fitting this ingenious kit. Kit includes six mountings, replacing the two bushings on each of the subframe "tower" bolts, and replacing both front teardrop mounts. Not as harsh as the alloy mountings, so will not transmit as much road noise.
Question:
I have already purchased this kit but am confused where 2 of the bushings good. I know two large ones go at top of the tower bolt, but not sure where the other 2 large ones go? 2 little ones are for the rear correct?
Answer:
The big ones go with the front subframe. One on the top of the subframe between it and the body. The other is on the top of the body in line with the subframe. Thus, two big ones on each side. The small thick ones go on the front on the tie rods where they come out of the front subframe. Continue using the standard ones on the tie rod before it goes through the subframe.
