Here's the description for fitting these shims (adding shims loosens, subtracting them tightens):
"Fit a .008" and a 012" shim over the thrust washer, fit the trunnion and tighten down the top nut (if you're going to use a Nyloc nut, for this setup use your old one for this procedure). Resistance should just be felt when the axle is turned on the king pin and there should be no obvious vertical play. Add or subtract shims as needed. The axles should have enough play where the self-centering effect at the steering wheel is maintained."
The king pin kits should have these shims.
