All early Minis with sliding door windows have a chrome lower channel that helps retain the weatherstrip and glass; but it also serves as the non-moving part of the window lock mechanism. These window catch runners are often found rusted and deteriorated to the point of visual distraction. It is not overly difficult to replace, and so is a 'must do' for any Mini lover.
These are the later two-hole style as originally used with the plastic catches, but will work in place of the multi-hole, long-out-of-production ones. Now made in stainless steel to ease rust problems. See also 24A1304.
