Gone for almost 25 Years this reamer is back. Made in the UK by skilled tool and die makers you can now finally correct ream the king pin busing on your Austin Healey Sprite 1962 to 1969 or MG Midget 1962 to 1979. Rebuilding the King Pins on your Spridget takes some speciality equipment to insure it is done correctly. The difference between a good, tight, suspension and a sloppy feeling one can be only a couple of thousands of an inch of clearance between the kingpins. Any extra play will literally make for loose front suspension. So it is very important to know when the stub axle bushes are pressed into the stub axle casting, they crush slightly. This pressing action inside diameter of the bushes will decrease a small amount as the bush is forced into their place. The holes for the bushes can vary slightly in size which means that the amount of crush also varies. Even the bushes themselves have a production tolerance that allows their size to vary slightly during manufacture. This reamer tool is specifically designed for sizing the bushes for a perfect fit and easy assembly of the King Pin.
