A New kid on the block, these shocks have a positive, on a car, 40 point knob adjustment that stop at maximum stiffness
Question:
My mini has hi lows and I need shocks. Do I order standards or for a lowered car? Also....my mini friend has advised that I do not need a sway bar in the rear and that I need to set up the rear of the car "soft"shock setting. My car is a strong street / serious autocross mini with about 100 hp. Thoughts?
Answer:
Hi and thanks for checking. The simple use of Hi/Lo suspension does not dictate the use of lowered shocks, BUT as are a serious autocrosser, I must assume you have lowered your Mini a good bit and thus YES for sure you should use lowered ones. As for a sway bar; ABSOUTELY for sure you need a rear bar. The fast way around almost any autocross track in a Mini is with trailing throttle oversteer, this will not occur without a rear bar.
Hope this helps
