Oil Pressure Tapless Adapter

Perfect for installing an oil pressure gauge, the Tapless Adapter sits in line with the sensor for the ECU. Instead of drilling a hole in your oil filter housing, just screw the adapter in place and attach the sender to the 1/8 NPT thread on the adapter. We have two similar adapters to allow installation on both MINI engines. Space in the turbocharged second generation engine is at an even higher premium. In order to ensure that you will be able to mount your sensor, the Tapless is threaded on all sides of the hex. That way, you will have an open thread facing you no matter what. All of the other sides will be capped with included setscrew plugs.

PSIClone Boost Adapter

You want a boost gauge to deliver the real-time PSI that your new turbocharged MINI is pumping into your engine. The trick is, unlike many turbo setups, there is no soft line to put a 'T' into to deliver pressure to your gauge. Without our specially machined adapter, you would need to drill a tap hole in the manifold to run a line to your gauge. The PSIclone installs in line with the MAF sensor for the ECU, then you can just use the 1/8 NPT thread to quickly attach your line with just the pieces supplied with almost any boost gauge.

Hotlink Water Temperature Adapter

The Hotlink does not sit in line with a factory sender like the other adapters, but it does install easily without permanent modification. This piece replaces a coupling in the coolant hose of the second generation MINI engine. Our Hotlink coupling has a 1/8 NPT threaded tap for the sender. Thanks to your feedback, this adapter will now work on all second generation MINI models with or without standard transmissions.

Mini Cooper Oil Pressure Tapless Adapter provides additional ports for senders to monitor the oil pressure without modifications to the engine. The use of this Tapless Adapter is completely reversible.

Fitment Note: This oil pressure sender adapter has M12 threads. In 03/2017 MINI began using a pressure sensor with M10 threads and discontinued the M12 threads in 04/2017. It is highly recommended you verify your build date, located on the VIN sticker affixed to the driver's door jamb. If you are not sure if your build date has M10 or M12 threads, please email us with your VIN and we will be happy to help.

The new MINIs all lack a 'real' water temperature gauge. The biggest challenge for installing an aftermarket water temperature gauge is finding a convenient and effective location for the temperature sensor. This 'Hot Link' adapter allows a non-invasive installation of a port for the water temperature sensor, greatly simplifying the installation of a water temperature gauge.

This adapter has a port for the temperature sensor, as well as another outlet port used on MINIs with automatic transmissions. A brass plug is included to plug the second outlet for manual transmission MINIs.

Function

The Hot Link replaces an existing coupling on your coolant line, and offers the benefit of a 1/8 tapped attachement point for adding your temperature probe. This piece will allow you to monitor the health of your vehicle. Use with the FlexPod gauge bracket system to allow a completely reversible installation.

Installation

All you need to do is remove the stock coupling by pulling the two hoses off either side, then put the Hot Link in place and clamp down the supplied worm clamps. A set screw is also included to allow adjustments without leaks.
