The rear quarter window on the sedans seem to have changed window locks more often than I can remember! This over-center lock fits the MK3 rear left side.

Will an old Mk1 or Mk2 opening quarter window fit?

Yes, I suppose it can be done. You'll need the latches:

And a piano hinge was used on the opposite side. You may have to find those from a specialty supplier. Will probably take a bit of trial and error to make it work properly. The glass may be different, too:
