Classic Mini aftermarket mechanical fuel pump for Austin Mini's thru 1990
The later models of the Mini (after about '73) use a mechanical fuel pump driven off the camshaft at the rear of the motor. These pumps are generally reliable but when a diaphragm goes bad it can be very bad as often raw gas is pumped into the engine. This dilutes the oil and causes severe wear.
Long arm pump. Requires spacer between the pump and the block. Order AUB5012. If you need gaskets, CAM6657. For Minis until 1990.
For 1990 on with HIF44 use AZX1817.
For 92 - 94 with HIF38 and 5/16" inlet use WND10005

I have a '87 Austin Rover Mayfair - Automatic and I'm needing to replace my fuel pump.I had a AZX1818Z spare on the the shelf but it doesn't look the same as the one I took out of the car (mainly the end of the rod looks different). Can this be used or do I need something different or additional to replace it. I have pictures for comparison.

The rule of thumb is - If the length of the arm is the same, then they can be interchanged.
