I have a 2006 mini cooper s with 6 speed automatic transmission that I am doing a transmission swat to a 6 speed manual transmission. there is information I found that I would need to swap out my oil filter housing to one with oil cooler and change out the coolant hoses. the automatic transmission had a transmission fluid cooler on it to moderate the temp. can anyone tell me why I would need to swap out oil filter housing if it already worked on the engine with out the oil cooler? I capped of the existing coolant hoses that went to the automatic transmission cooler. any help would be very helpful.

12HD24 suggests 1275 MG Metro late 80's early 1990's 10.5:1 compression. Very common to transplant into classic minis.
so it's a 1275 A+ block
