I ordered a rebuilt front brakes from 7Ent and i also had problems with the adjusters not staying in adjustment (see my huge 3 month brake drama). 7Ent was great about it. They said the units I was sent were sourced from MiniSport and this was not the first time they had issues with them. THey ended up swapping them out for me from a known good set.

it's not the threads,it's that the adjuster screw won't go in straight.the threads are
surely compromised now. just poor quality. i used to buy from 7 20 yrs ago, when i
was driving mine.since i've started restoring it i buy from MM or occasionaly when
the price is half of what MM charges. i emailed MSPORT.can't wait to hear what they
say.i may have learned my lesson.

I would concur with Zippy. I have probably had about 8 sets of those rear backing plates built up and knock on wood.. they were all good to go. Mike has always taken care of me, and I know he is sadly at IMM right now (I'm jealous of course). I know he's checking emails when he can.

Most likely, all of the Mini vendors source that part from the same manufacturer. I couldn't imagine companies standing in line thinking they're going to make any significant money off the venture.
I would put it down to "luck of the draw"

Check carefully, the female thread might be the culprit and not the male/ don't force it, might get worse...
no experience with mini sport either. i'm a solid Minimanian'

well i just got my first order from across the pond and i'm concerned that this might be an omen.
i purchased some backplates and some brake adjuster kits along with some other parts. the brake
adjuster screws don't seem to want to screw in. if you look at it flat you can see the screw is
going in on a slight angle which would obviously cross thread. it's the same way on bothof them.
are they known for selling inferior items, because i will happily stay away from them if so.not a great
first impression, i'll tell you that. pretty pissed off right now. and, yeah, i'm pretty sure i'll have to get
used to that.
