They are called...J&K Supplies Ltd, and they are based in Burnley, Lancs. Could be a coincidence, but that is right beside Mini Sports at Padiham.  My pal Davy had a guy drop a Mini off, with a complete Front section from these people, and he said it fit beautifully.  Jim

I appreciate your replies.  Sure would like to keep the car looking original.  Will need further investigation.

Spitz--you mean the MK1-forum.net?

Jimatalba, do you know where the JK Panels are located and an address?

Jim

There is a thread over on MkI regarding the work needed to correct the front panel to properly match the MkI panel  ( may be early MkI ).  Go and have a search....it was a really well done piece of work

I have a few M machine panels out in the garage, and you can tell they are heavier gauge by feeling them. One of my pals has a Mini Restoration business and he buys M machine and JK panels. He feels Heritage have lost their way since the old timers who operated the Presses have left, and the younger guys who've replaced them are not as skilled, or interested. His standard of work is excellent, so he might be right.

No personal experience but the guys over on the MKI site in England rave about the M Machine panels as being a better fir and more accurate than the heritage panels.

Hi;

I am restoring a 1965 Mini Cooper S and may need to replace the front panel due to previous damage / repairs.

Currently, our host has a front panel which may be used for MK 1, MK 2, and MK 3's.  The stamping for the turn signal area is larger in diameter than the original MK 1

and there are other holes that were not original to the panel which would need to be welded closed and metal finished.

Has any one used panels or even a front panel from M-Machine that could attest to the quality of stamping, quality of fit and originality??  Or is there another source??

Thanks for your assistance.

Jim
