Big Al,
No pics of flip fronts, no pics...but I must say that I came to love the square nose on the OZ Window Van.
So easy to reach down and...with bare hands...twist off the oil filter, remove, & replace.

I love the look of the flip front. When done correctly they look great, but as most of my tuning is from the front, they are a bit of a PITA. If I were to do it again, I would make the front clip easily removable, with a removable bonnet for the day to day service.

And of course if you don't like a flip front end, then maybe just, rip the 4 pins out and there you go-

It should really be held up as a role-model for PACE.

Rick aka MiniEstate-
No dzus fasteners, just don't like them, anytime you cannot drill a hole in fibreglass don't-take a close look at pic # 1 and you will see the bungee cord hanging there-
Just plain old black bungee cords- cheap, not pretty but really do the job-
Yes Alex, the setup was engineered by Tim Bosse in Ohio, lots of thought went into it- Is now probably 10 years old and no cracks or imperfections showing- A real tight fit with quick easy acess-
Robin aka Zippy- Yes, maybe a candidate for a clubman-ectomy but as Alex said it started out life as a 1963 countryman austin estate-
Looks like this one will be my "keeper" as all of the other minis in the stable are gone-
Why not, 1380cc power in an estate wagon, next to a moke my favourite model-

Al,
That looks like a perfect candidate for a "Clubman-Ectomy" (tm-NJ)
Most of the work is already done.
It's actually the reverse of a Clubmanectomy !!

i am currently working on a flip front unsing the minitec hinges and dzus fittings at the "A" panels. i ordereed my DZUS fittings from kurvey girl.....i started using them on several bikes i have built over the years....best price I have found on actual DZUS fittings....there are cheap knock offs out there but thats exactly what they are....the heads snap off very quickly....

Most mini owners want nothing to do with a "flip front end" mini-
Done correctly like this estate wagon, they are a bonus-
Feel free to show us others-
