Morris Cooper S rally car. This is a period '60's build - not a modern replica. It was described as a "back-up team car” by a previous UK owner, and it has many of the features of the BMC Works Minis. It could be a valuable piece once the car's rally history is established and verified.
Unique dashboard with multiple gauges, map reading light, fuse blocks, etc. Period Microcell reclining race seats and the early style 3 point roll bar, widened steel S 10" wheels.. It has twin tanks and twin fuel pumps. All fuel, electrical, and brake lines were run through the cabin, instead of underneath. Lucas flamethrower lights front and rear, and a rear wiper/washer. “12A185” 11 stud head with twin SU's.
No modern updates (other than the MKII lights and radio added by someone over the years - correct MKI lights included). Unrestored barn find that I’ve owned and stored inside for the past 35+ years. I never made the time to restore it, and am currently downsizing my collection of 30 classic cars and bikes. This race car is not street registered and sold on a bill of sale.
$20k or possible trade.
