This is a 1990 Rover Mainstream Cooper. First sold in Italy, it made it's way to Germany where it was converted to Sport Pac 13 inch wheels and flares. It was purchased by US service man and shipped to Va USA. The car remained a one owner for 20 plus years. While deployed father of owner storing car got caught in rain and slid into read of pickup truck. Damage included wings, valance, bonnet and flares. At that time a complete Minitec GT 4 body kit ( street grade ) was very nicely installed. I have all paper work involve with car for twenty years. I purchased the car last year due to owner losing his free inside storage while again deployed. I spent 10 months and a load of money rebuilding an A series 1293 with 11 to 1 compression APT cam ported older race head single HIF44 large bore LCB two box center exit twin exhaust. Fully adjustable suspension, Hi-Los, S racer red springs adjustable shocks. Sub frames powder coated, Solid mounted front sub frame. Removable front with bonnet. Lights include head lamps, two driving, two fog and parker/turn signals. Single plug to remove front end complete. All switches and cables replaced with new to include those on steering column. Interior is correct Rover Cooper with no tears or burns non smoker. Proper steering wheel and wood high lights added at some point. Gear box fully rebuilt with 4.13 CWP SC/CR in rod change. Includes KAD short shifter which works really well. Riding on 13X7 wheels and new 13 inch street tires. Due to the very low air dam the car was jacked under front floor pans. This caused openings allowing water to attack the floor. I have had the area removed and repaired with new panels while subs were out. Now, the entire shell is extremely sound and paint is good. I don't post pictures but can text them to a cell. Located at my shop in Hampton, Va. 23661. Can be inspected and driven by appointment.
