1977 Mini IMA Van For Sale

This is a very unique opportunity to obtain a rare Mini IMA Van. Originally built in Portugal, and recently fully restored in Portugal. This is on consignment from one of our clients. This Mini received a nut and bolt restoration in late 2021 through early 2022. The vehicle was taken back to bare metal prior to being finished in single stage Old English White paint. The chassis and undercarriage are coated in black stone chip paint. We have over 100 pictures of the process we are happy to share if seriously interested. The Mini passed Portuguese road test and inspection Jan 2022. In Fall of 2022 the vehicle was imported to Spain and received Spanish plates in April 2024 and has passed TÜV. The car is available in Spain, and we can arrange to bring it to New York, or our Pennsylvania workshop, or have it arranged for delivery anywhere in the USA . It was our intention that this Mini would receive our U11 Honda D Series Conversion, but you could certainly drive her as is. This is not a completely original Mini, as it has had very mild custom touches such as the rear tail lamps, reupholstered interior, gauges, and wider wheels. Less then 250 Miles have been put on the car since restoration.

Exterior:
- Stripped to bare metal and resprayed in Old English White Single Stage
- Black Stone chip undercarriage
- New 10x6 Minilites with Yokohoma 165/70r10 A008 Tires
- New front and rear bumpers
- New Front grille (painted to match)
- New Wing mirrors
- New Window seals, Sliding window hardware, and Rear door handle and hardware
Engine and Drivetrain:
-Original 998 Engine that was rebuilt with new pistons and rings. Head was rebuilt and skimmed. Engine starts right away and run strong. The gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears.
- New Clutch master cylinder
- New Brake master cylinder
- New Drum Brake cylinders, Drum brakes front and rear currently
- New Front and rear brake shoes
- New Exhaust pipe and muffler
Interior:
-The IMA has retained much of the original components including the steering wheel, shifter, blower and panel switches.
- New Smiths Magnolia White center dash Speedometer and accompanying gauges
-Original seats were custom reupholstered with new foam in red vinyl and piping. The center sections are finished with a matching perforated vinyl. This same material was used for a custom headliner, door cards and rear cargo area. Rear seat folds down to expand the cargo area.
-New Newton carpets were installed.
