same joint as used in the old series landrovers and multiple triumphs and other brit cars. I used the duralst from autozone as they were freely available with the grease nipple in the end cap which makes for very easy greasing

cheers

Mark:

The whole Hardy Spicer universal joint is replaced as a unit.

The bearings are not replaced separately and are not available from anywhere except inside a whole new joint.

The inside of the cups and the cross also wear and putting new bearings with the worn parts would quickly destroy the whole joint.

For what they do and how sturdy they are, the joint is cheap to replace.

What you need to look for is a U-joint (with or without a zerk ie grease nipple) at any British car supplier. I have a part number GUJ115 on a plastic bag but no manufacturer but MM has them.

Does anyone here know where I can find some bearings for my Hardy Spicer universal joints? I searched on this site but didn't see what I need. Is there a common replacement I can find elsewhere? I don't think they are necessarily bad, but would like to replace them while the engine is out.
