Rear of the bottom of the tank? That is a drain hole. Outlet at forward corner? That is where fuel is drawn. Take a flashlight and look inside the tank, it might be a good idea to inspect the screen on the start of the fuel outlet pipe.

I hope I'm not becoming a PITA but I have another question. I heard or read (cannot remember which) that the front to rear fuel line is 1/4" so this is what I ran. when I went to make the hard line connection to the tank I discovered that it will not accept 1/4 line but will take 3/16. I am afraid I have really screwed this one up. I definitely do not want to drop the front subframe to run a new line between it and the bulkhead. I don't know what the effect will be on fuel pressure and volume if I have done this incorrectly. Can anyone help? Thanks once again, David. I think I answered my own question Is the hard line outlet in the rear bottom of the left tank a drain hole? this would clear up a lot of my confusion about having a tee in the line that connects the two tanks.
