WHAT???? I thought the Aussies were just sending the trophy back.... but you guys are coming back for another round of the best Mini event/drives in North America??? That in itself should be a clue to those on the fence about coming to a CMU event (assuming they like to drive their Mini) that people come back from the other side of the world!

So the big question.... what does a Aussie Hippie look like??? Please note I tested out the boomerang and 6 months later it still hasn't come back. I think the warrenty information was on the back of it, well played.

Thanks Willie for the silent auction support. That also shows how people are dedicated to this event!

Welcome back to the mountains. My water pump and the rest of the car is ready to go. You are both welcome to drive if you feel inclined to.

The CMU website will be updated by the end of the weekend and all CMU members will receive an email notifying them.

Confirmed hotel yesterday:

Great Smokies Inn
This is the most affordable, nicest, and closest hotel to the KOA. We are calling this the alternate hotel because so many will be able to stay at the KOA. They are giving us a good rate of $63.80 (Same as the Mini 53!), that includes the 10% tax. Call
828-497-2020 to make your reservations. Mention Classic Minis United to get the discounted rate. Don't wait for the tourists to fill the rooms up and do it before April 1st before the prices go up. Note that the event is over Saturday night, so, you'll probably want to check out on Sunday the 19th. Also note, all of the drives will be leaving from the KOA and the night events will be at the KOA as well.

Reminds me how hard it was to drive a Mini in the 70's with platform shoes - remember them ????

Brad, you are the poster child for what CMU is all about... members love what we do and they support it! Thanks!

Mitch, your birthday is the same day as the official Hippie Day and big party. I get the feeling there will be beers from around the country there to celebrate it.

The response on Facebook is great and the shirts look to be in demand around the world! The CMU FB page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Classic-Minis-United/119254944784654.

Come home Trev....

Spread the word!
