Re-reading this has highlighted Robin's dry wit - Land's End is all Disneyfied...

There may be a few more pics in here for Matt - I know the cider farm doesn't have a bottling plant like he built (they decant into plastic containers as required, but will also fill any container you arrive with) but he found the process and storage fascinating.

Cool pics - I really should have gone, Hyacinth is on vacation, so, am home with her.  Wish I'd gone to IMM...

Did manage to escape to the CHGP races, though, and had a grand time.  Saw some fantastic cars in the car park and learned that the 911's have practical luggage space.

Found this gem of a camper up in Wales.
I seem to have a knack for running into odd things/people

And, if I ever make a photo album, this will be the cover page.
Even with a GPS, I spent an awful lot of time recovering from missed turns....

Not Mini related but a pretty cool camper at the event.

One of the "oddball" Mini-based vehicles at the IMM.

And Chuck would've enjoyed this very well done Wildgoose.

The green Moke in the foreground was my ride to/from the event. I had not driven on the "proper" side of the road since the last IMM five years ago. Absolutely terrifying... but fun.

We managed to get "only" 84 Mokes together for the Sunday display. There were still more than a few that were at the event site. So close to the 100 mark. Sigh....
Still was the most Mokes I've ever seen.

A Pubwatch is a useful app on your phone which tells you when the bar nearest to you is about to open.

Last night's digs. Excellent, friendly pub with good pints and food. Clean, modern rooms too. The approach road is not for the timid. Very narrow, hilly 'n twisty. I've never even heard of Monkey Shoulder whisky.... Tempted to try it but me and brown liquor don't get along. (I do really stupic things when I drink it) (rolleyes)

Tonight is in a boring Hilton at Heathrow.... Early flight in the morning.

If I'd twigged you were going to be staying in Chepstow, I'd have given you a few pointers for local roads and things to see & do - it's where my Mum grew up !

I should post the picture of you & the clown at the (not so secret) secret lair.
The hinge mods we dreamed up are going into production by the way.

Again, using points I stayed a couple of nights at the Marriott St. Pierre in Chepstow, Wales. Too bad I don't golf.... some beautiful courses there. There was a wedding going on when I arrived. Had thoughts of photo-bombing the bride but decided I would rather sleep at the hotel instead of a jail cell....

Using points, I stayed a night at the Marriott High Cliff in Bournemouth. The desk clerk was nice enough to upgrade me to the "Prince Andrew Suite" quite posh... I'm not sure if he was just being nice or hitting on me. Just to be safe, I wedged my suitcase against the door..... (rolleyes) Only hotel bathroom I've been in that should have a lifeguard.

From Alex 'n Suzy's, I continued out to Lands End. Travel tip: Unless you are very close to the area, don't bother. It's a Disney-fied tourist trap.

An almost complete waste of fuel and time.....

Friends Alex 'n Suzy were kind enough to show this confusicated traveler around. Posing with a "IMM sized" barrel of local scrumpy.... Alex let me into his secret lair and we got to play Minis until the wee hours of the morning.

I did see an Aussie flag in the camping area, but missed Russ Swift.

But the reason I ask is that I had a long chat at our stand with one of your guys about my Speedwell Blue '61 woody.  He was talking about the colour, and how its not actually named in the early brochures.  I said I'd check when I got home as I have one of those brochures on the wall and he's right, the colours are shown but not named.

He was also talking to my mate who owns the car we shot that video from.  We know the car was bought new in '64 by an Aussie lady who drove all over Europe in it for 18 months before returning home.  The car still has an Austrian road carnet (tax) sticker in the back window.

When we started talking I thought he was going to say that he was the lady's son or grandson !!  He gave us a NSW MOC sticker too.

Small world eh ?

Yep that's us did you see the flag on the fence near the back entry gate ? Did you see the first Russ Swift show? I was in with Russ doing the parking between the cars. We were talking to those guys after the big dinner, amazing we gave them a MCCNSW sticker for the car that was originaly owned by an Aussie student in the 60s.

It was an Almond green / white roof B reg '64 Cooper-a-like (see picture in above post).

Its owner has now uploaded the Bogus Brothers videos  :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXJXxETne7Q

A Woody - seeing your flag - are you from New South Wales Mini club  ?
