I didn't even notice I somehow had a Candadian flag on the account, eh. Just changed it, now it's time to sit on the Chesterfield with a frosty Molson you hosers.

The car is, as mentioned, in Long Island, New York in the good ol' US of A.

Anyone who took the time to look at the ad will see a car with NY tags, "Location: Long Island NY", "State: NY", "Country: US", etc... Those seeing a flag which indicate other than the US were only looking to start mischief.

Oops! Seller is a latent Canadian, I guess. I saw the flag in the profile and assumed it was a Jap Mini in Canada.

So, from his profile he appears to be a Canadian but the car is located in Long Island NY and registered in NY State-

And as he said, not saleable in California

But since it seems to have a New York registration already, that wouldn't seem to be an issue.

As you have disclosed exactly what you have for sale and not just listed it as a 79 Mini you should not get any flack on the re vin "discussion" and even going as far to not recommend it to California buyers, most of the problems i see are when people do not disclose (knowing or not) the facts and true heritage of the car. A good looking car and good luck with the sale.

All-

If you could help me get the word out I'd appreciate it. Life moves on and I need to clean out the garage and the Mini has to go...

P.S. Do you think we could avoid a re-VIN argument  discussion?
