I had one go high resistance so that it wouldn't sink ~3A.
Rather than disturb the hydraulics, I made a small electronic relay utilising the extg switch, hidden by the fuse box.
Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

This is more conventional than the odd hydraulic switch... you can just extend the wires and mount to the brake pedal like virtually every other car made!

Hydraulic Brake Light Switch:
As posted on the Mini Mania forum by the user PTC1000: "I just put in an ACCEL 181101 and it is much more sensitive than the last one. It's a replacement for a Harley, and looking at the Harley forums, it seems to be what most people use when the ones on their bikes die. It's a funny size... 25mm socket, but other than that it's a direct replacement, blade terminals and all."

A year or two ago someone posted an alternative brake light switch. At that time I bought one, but now I need another.
I cannot find the post after a search and I cannot find an invoice.
Anyone have any information?
