Merci Mart,
We'll start here and go there if we have too.
Trying to get one going and then the second.
Denis would like to put the first motor in the Moke.

Yes, we have been looking at the new alternative solutions but Denis is "old School"
He does have two brand new automatics without the harnesses. So, maybe if we are lucky one will get the original equipment and the other will get the new technology...
Will contact the others that can help as stated above.
thanks to everyone who has offered their help and advice.
will let everyone know what happens.

Why not go with a Specialist Components Injection kit and ECU, only need to come up with a way to attach the throttle body to the Kickdown rod. That way the ECU controls the spark and fuel, and other engine upgrades are fully taken advantage of.

Keith Calver has confirmed that the wiring harness and ECU must be from an automatic. So we are still looking if anyone can help.
thanks

Does anyone know if the cam on the standard motor and the automatic are the same?
Have found a potential source but the ECM and wiring are from standard Minis and both of Denis motors are automatics.
Help?

Deb,
You shoud try to contact Rudy a.k.a Mr. Grean. I know he has imported and parted out a number of Japanese Cars.
He had the "Lady GaGa' Mini at the Meet in Magog.

Denis Boisvert of MMM is looking for two ECM 's and matching wiring harness for his Japanese motors. Condition of wiring harness is not critical. Here are the specks that we have for the two motors. Wiring and ECM must be a mated pair.
12A2DK72 396180 Starter 26619M Year 08 00
Type M79 ADU 9800 Alternator Rover year 09 00
A115L-65 YLE101790 Part number 63321727A
second motor:
12A2DK72 384563 trans 033016 single point injection
No Distributor, no cam sensor .
Someone must have access to these parts... Without them we have two useless motors.
Please contact me if you can be of any help.
