Another year, ANCASTER over, great weather for a change, a large turnout, and an unbelievable showing of vendors in the main hall inside

Of course, we were vending outside with the "unwashed" and thanks to my many customers/ tyre kickers etc had a great sale-

I would say classic mini vendors represented about 1/5th of the vendors with the other 80% selling everything else British and Brit related items-

saw a lot of friends and along with the Ontario Mini group members who met at my stand at 11:00 AM for their first ever get to-get her

Also a lot of great britiSh cars that showed up in the sunshine

He is only 52 so he has some time left to get started... Once you have two of every model it is time to start cleaning the barn,,,,

Denis B of Mainly Minis Montreal bought a pick up form Barry S in NJ. He paid $100. It had a tree growing through the bed that we had to cut in  order to get it out of his yard. Every 100 miles we had to stop and tighten the straps as more rust fell on the highway . At the border we stopped to declare the purchase and the Canadian border guards laughed at him. He said you don't want to pay $7.00 GST for this pile of rust. Denis said without the paper work I cannot register it in Canada. They could not believe that someone would be able to save it. But , they made the paper work and the Pick up is now in his barn... one of many future projects. since then he has picked up another better pick up .... so may be your daughter's dream is waiting in Quebec.

I should also mention that I am looking to pay the same amount as what I paid for the older daughters mini 1000 project.....so no more then 400 bucks. Yep I do buy lotto tickets. (same odds I would think)

SUNDAY APRIL 20th 2014-//www.ancasterbritish.ca/

Unfortunately this years event falls on Easter Sunday-For some reason  it has a devasting effect on the turnout,so just come early and leave sooner-

This year we will be missing two long time vendors, BMC (Ben & Carol), who have retired and sadly Young Imports (Ian Young) who passed away last month-Both vendors always had massive displays of parts and were a credit to the Brit car parts trade-

Now that the show is held in the new fairgroung buildings it seems bigger and brighter but we still have the curse of uncertain weather this early in the year,we have had, snow, rain, sleet, wind, mud, pestilence in the past amd maybe this year sun-

If you are at the show, stop by my stand and say hello, also it will be the meeting spot for the new OMG (Ontario Mini Group),now with 100 mini members-

Pray for Sun-
