I have noticed that the inside lock is reversed. It will probably take a little time to get used to it. Thanks for the advice

Maybe I won't need a locking door handle. Might be able to install an electronic lock popper inside the door. I'll have to take the door apart to see if I can make something like that work.

I have a new question about these doors. Does anyone have a lockable door handle or know where I might be able to find one that will work with these doors? Both of mine do not have locks. I've looked around and haven't been able to come up with anything. Would be nice to be able lock my car from time to time. Thanks for any help and or advice.

Just turn all the parts upside down and the Aussie parts will fit nicely with them.Tongue Out

I take it there isn't any place to purchase just the Australian portion of the manual?  I have the rest of the manual on disc and just need to pick up the Australian portion for my car.

Thank you,

Brett

Tusks a lot for the help Kevin. I really appreciate it. It's gonna help a lot when I start tearing the doors apart. Thanks Steve.

//pitstop.net.au/view/products/page/query/plu/1076/  The Leyland `Black Book' is the last factory manual for Oz Minis. A lot of stuff in it is UK sourced but it does have supplements in it for Australian stuff, eg the rollup window doors, engine specs, etc.

[edit] This one also is reputed to be good, however I don't have it so can't comment. It probably has all the info you need.

Other good (in some ways better) Australian produced shop manuals are Scientific Publications (or Gregorys) #64 and #02. The former is for roundies with rollup window doors, the latter for Clubbies (rollup doors w/ lift up handles & burstproof latches). Both these books are now out of print, but you can usually find them on ebay.com.au

Email sent. Scanned 5 pages from Scientific Publications manual #64.

I need to do some work on my Aussie doors mainly the window regulators. Is there a repair manual available for just the Aussie cars that anyone knows of? Thanks for the help, Steve.
