I can add that I have an Air Con setup from a 1994 JDM Mini. I was going to install it in my MK1, but plans have changed. It would be available if someone is intrested.

The set up shown runs with the V pulley, only the MPI's ran the serpentine belt afaik.

Thanks for the info, that's what I figured, wasn't sure though. Still more questions than solutions for me at this point.

Like which engine am I going to use, equipped with either a V or serpentine pulley.

SXSMAN the evap and heater are seperate on all Mini's with a/c that i have seen. This set up is probably from a pre injection late 80's early 90's car and it should have the all important idle step up assembly that fits on the side of the carb so the car still idles when the a/c is switched on.

the price is shameful! If you're truly interested in the AC from my car I can take some pics to show what I have and you can make an offer.

I am certainly willing to part with it - I have no idea if it is complete and/or functional. looks to be though.

I would prefer a local deal - But what I realy want is all the parts to make the car NON a/c as far as the altenator /brackets etc are concerned.

I was going to use a HVAC from a limo but if some has an A/C system from a mini I might be a player on it.

What did you end up buying? The seller and are still in contact with each other. We share same interest in bicycles and diesels. May do some builds together! Its great to meet some random person and find so many common interests. Regarding the A/C all I really want is to set the car up for no A/C (alt/ alt brackets . what ever else is nec for that swap (I still don't know what brackets etc are nec. -but if you have a non A/C set up and need this set up -why not we just swap?

I had a Japanese spec SPi car with aircon. Hands down the nicest, most "modern" Mini I've had so far.  It'd do 80mph across the island with the aircon on and the windows up!  If the damn later seats weren't so friggin huge I would have kept that car.

Russ, Did you het the car from a guy in Oakland?  Green with side mirrors mounted on the fenders?  If it is I beleive that all of the parts were there.

He was a good guy. I was choosing between that car and another car.  I went with the other one. That was a good one though. It was a tough choice.  What do you want for the A/C parts?

~£150 might be acceptable depending on the total parts shipped. The bracket and any pulleys are the most important part. Let me contact you offline. (email)
