No pissing here at all. I think the thread speaks for itself. If you were interested in the 997 we would hire the crane and have the shell returned to my shop. You were also offered a 850 front clip with vin and title a Super Delux, 67 Cooper S, Mk3 Cooper S or any collection of parts you were interested in. You went from building a Sport Pac, to a M/C rear/mid engine powered car. No matter what you were offered you changed your needs. Yes, I'm a nice guy, I think Alex put it best years ago. The the 1962 Mini 997 he spoke of was disassembled years ago. The parts are in Virginia and the body is in an outdoor storage lot in South Carolina hidden between sea crates and he said I'd need a crane to get it out. Was not interested.
Nice guy until I said I was not interested in what he offered.
I don't want to get in a pissing contest about this, so I'm finished with this subject.
Have a Nice Day, Bert

I'll play, I have a complete roller with clean Va. title. Vin plate in place. Steve (CTR)
Edit: I buy cars any mini that has a vin plate and clean title regardless of rust or condition. I have found a couple more Cooper S and need to rotate stock an 850 needs to go.
Edit 2: If you have any respect for your time or the mini hobby do not engage this person. I now recall offering him a 86 mayfair wreck with 1275 metro power a few years back for $2500. That was not what he wanted. I have offered an 850 shell with vin and title for $1500. Still not it and a 62 997 Cooper project complete and matching numbers in parts for $6500, was not right. He ended up asking if I would be willing to buy his left overs when he finds the right deal. I have sold one Cooper S and bought two more Cooper S cars in the month of Aug. with far less conversation. I did not hang up on him but I did end the conversation abruptly.

crazydad: you wouldn't happen to have a pillar for the windshield would you? possibly anything from the windshield forward as far as sheet metal goes would help. thanks, Brandon.
